Testimonials

I'm so thrilled to have discovered Red Horse Press! The studio is beautifully set up and Shana is a wonderful educator. I started with a three pack of classes and now a year later I am a regular in the Mixed Media Open Studio. As a beginner to printmaking, I have found this place to be a great space to explore and learn new things and Shana to be a generous, knowledgeable, and super fun teacher!

I love everything about my experience at Red Horse Press! From the moment I first walked through the door, Shana gave me a warm welcome and taught me practical skills while being encouraging, accessible, and very fun to be around! I love making linoleum block prints, and am looking forward to making woodcuts too. The studio's setting is gorgeous, and the animals are just the best! I always leave feeling inspired and delighted.

Being part of Red Horse Press has reignited my passion in artmaking and is an important contributor to my mental and spiritual wellbeing. Going to the studio is always the highlight of my week, and I always look forward to spending a day there. Shana has created a wonderful refuge for artmaking. The studio is always clean and well-stocked, with everything you could possibly need to create whatever you could imagine. Shana is a warm and welcoming teacher, with an infectious enthusiasm for printmaking and a palpable delight in the intricacies of this incredibly fun and sometimes surprising artform. After a few months of classes with Shana, I decided to become a member, so that I could have more time in the studio to work on more complicated pieces. Shana has been an invaluable mentor in my creative process.
If you are looking for a fun hobby or exploring new art forms, I highly recommend printmaking at Red Horse Press!

Shana makes Red Horse Press such a welcoming atmosphere! From the first class I attended, I felt comfortable and excited to learn more. I started with linocut prints, and got introduced to copper plate etching; which I had never heard of! I also love seeing the donkeys and pony outside. If you’re on the fence, I recommend trying it out and signing up for a class!
